Well, I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year! Hopefully, 2026 will be a great year for all.
It was decided about 18 months ago that I would be stepping down as President of the Lake Orion Horseshoe Club. Doug Bailey became the new President as of January 1, 2026. In my 12 consecutive years as President of the Lake Orion Horseshoe Club we have accomplished many major challenges and hopefully brought value and community respect to our club. I ask the membership, to get involved, help where you can, bring in new members, share your ideas with the officers, while being an ambassador for the Lake Orion Horseshoe. Club and the sport of pitching horseshoes. Stay safe and well! Sincerely, Ron Price Sign up, meet and greet is Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. Bring a friend!!
League play begins May 5, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. The cost is $40.00 for the season, 15 weeks of pitching. (That is only $2.66 a week for hours of fun, personal challenges, excitement and friendship!) We end our season with an awards ceremony. No horseshoes? No problem, we have several sets available for you to try out! We are located in the beautiful Village of Lake Orion, behind Children's Park, off Anderson Street, South of Flint Street (near the Fire Department). The Paint Creek Trail runs right by our courts. You could even ride your bike to our courts! If you are unsure about joining the 15 week league, you are welcome to substitute for $5 a night (if openings permit). For more information call Doug Bailey at (248)-421-9708. Please check out our Facebook page for last minute updates. Also, please check out our community engagement by clicking on the Around Town button below. We are proud to be members of the Lake Orion Community! |
